HashKey Exchange, situated in Hong Kong, stands as the premier licensed retail virtual asset exchange in the region. Its official inauguration gathered dignitaries from various sectors including representatives from the Hong Kong government, central banking institutions, insurance companies, and renowned auditing firms.

The exchange provides avenues for direct bank transfers in both USD and HKD, with comprehensive support for cryptocurrencies. It operates on the “HEX Engine,” an adept system designed to process up to 5,000 transactions per second (TPS).

Initially, HashKey Exchange predominantly focused on Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) due to their extensive circulation and perceived lower risk.

Nonetheless, the exchange has expressed intentions to expand its repertoire in the foreseeable future, with the possibility of introducing margin and derivative products, pending approval from the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

HashKey Exchange is actively collaborating with prominent Hong Kong banks to streamline the integration of fiat currencies, encompassing HKD and USD. Furthermore, discussions are underway with brokerage firms in Hong Kong to establish entry points for its cryptocurrency trading services.

In order to ensure a secure and dependable trading environment, HashKey Exchange is devising an investor rating system that leverages Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols to evaluate an investor’s level of experience.
